Learning from nature

An artist and musician who, since 2003, has devoted himself entirely to his passion: kitesurfing. With 18 years of experience as an instructor in Puclaro, he has made this sport his way of life.

For him, kitesurfing is a connection with the elements, a passion, and the freedom to harness a powerful force. Although he was a competitor who made it to the podium, his main focus is safety and instruction, teaching that the sport demands respect for the wind.

His greatest legacy is seeing how his many students now ride on their own, proving that kitesurfing is an accessible activity that brings joy and tranquility—and isn't limited solely to extreme sports.

"Kitesurfing is my way of connecting with the elements. Every day on the water is different."

Interview

What was your first time like?

Kitesurfing

It was 2003, and there weren’t any schools yet. I learned the hard way—literally. I’d be dragging myself along the beach, with the kite pulling me all over the place. But when I finally managed to ride those first few meters, I knew I’d found my place in the world.

What do you like most about teaching?

Seeing that sparkle in their eyes when they catch their first wave. It’s magical. And it’s even more special when you see them become independent, no longer needing me, and setting out on their own with confidence. That’s the real achievement.

Words to live by?

Respect the wind, connect with the water, and never stop learning.
