An artist and former musician, he has devoted himself entirely to kitesurfing since 2003. With 18 years of experience as an instructor in Puclaro, he has made this sport his way of life. For him, kitesurfing is about connecting with the elements and experiencing freedom, and his greatest pride is seeing his students ride independently with confidence and composure.

He traded the office for the winds of Gualliguaica: he gave up his career as a business engineer to devote himself entirely to teaching kitesurfing in the Elqui Valley. For Maxi, kitesurfing is a form of “meditation” that unites freedom and nature, and today he promotes inclusive teaching through his school. His philosophy is simple: strength through respect, always honoring the wind.

A physical education teacher and founder of New Ride Chile, he left the classroom six years ago to make a living from kitesurfing. Today, he teaches in Puclaro with a clear philosophy: respect for the wind and personal growth, inviting others to discover this “oasis of wind” in the Elqui Valley.
